Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good, but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

You have probably heard the saying when all else fails turn to prayer(or God) No actually that should be the first place you turn whether in hard times, or in times of plenty.

Here is an interesting fact, You tell me people are not hungry for The Lord.

Commentator Paul Harvey aired the Billy Graham prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.' God will heal our land for the Righteous sake.

Here is a book I would really encourage you to read. Glenn Beck does a great job of explaining how important and how high of esteem our founding fathers and our constitution place on God and Christian principles. That is what our country was founded upon. Here is a short review of his number one selling book that has been tearing it up, on the New York Times best selling list.
Glenn Beck's Common Sense The Case Against An Out-Of Control Government.

This book inspired by Thomas Paine whose anonymous pamphlet inspired and was a big influence in the American Revolution has been weeks on The New York Times bestselling list in all categories and is sweeping the nation by storm.

This is a powerful book and I highly recommend it to all Americans. With what we are facing with The Obama administration and the Democratic control over both the House and the Senate it is an enlightening piece of literature that is very timely. The book truly does lay out a case against an out-of-control government and sends a message that we as citizens can take action to get back control of our country and teaches us why it is so hard to get rid of incumbents.

I would really encourage you to purchase a copy of this book which is very inexpensive, read it and pass it on to someone else. It is very important that as many Americans as possible read this book regardless of what party they are affiliated with or what their political beliefs are. This book is a very powerful work and very informative.

We as citizens of America need to become more informed and understand the principles our nation was founded upon, and what forces are out to destroy the fabric of our nation. Please grab a copy of this book and pass it on to another thoughtful and concerned citizen.
